This is my first post with any pictures from Texas. I have been there the last two springs and am just now getting images processed! It has been exciting to start going through them. The two years were quite different. The first time I was there, the cactus, yucca, and ocotillo were in full bloom. This year the drought had stifled most everything from blooming. No matter what, Big Bend National Park has become one of my favorite destinations.
This shot was from one of the last mornings in the park (yes, I process backwards, just like I read a magazine!). I was lined up for a sunrise shot including the mountains, but as I watched the sky to the east, I was drawn to this lone ocotillo. I like how the limbs of the plant follow the pattern of the clouds.
