I was looking through my images this morning trying to find something to post on Google+ for WaterfallWednesday (one of the daily themes). I have already posted most of my favorites, so it was time for something new. In my search, I realized I have so many great shots just waiting to be found. What a shame! This is one of them.
Jim Talaric and I traveled down to the southwest corner of Colorado chasing the wildflower reports in the summer of 2008. I remember the flowers weren’t quite what we were expecting, so we decided to check things out up this side road. It climbs quickly up the mountain, coming up along Columbus Creek in many places. We parked in a good looking spot, donned our waders, and plunged through the brush down to the creek. It was simply amazing. One small waterfall after another. We spent hours clicking away as we worked our way upstream. This the first of what I grabbed. There will be more to come (someday)!
