I have been to the Canadian Rockies twice. The first trip was with a photography workshop that was only somewhat productive, but a good introduction to what to see. The second trip was with my friend Luke Tingley which was much more enjoyable since we came up with our own itinerary. One place we definitely wanted to visit again was Peyto Lake. The view overlooking the aqua colored lake is drop dead gorgeous! Our major obstacle to getting a good shot on this trip though was the weather. We ended up shooting there three mornings to get what we wanted. This is my favorite of the group. The clouds broke up just in time for the sun to fill the valley with soft morning light.
