I have been having fun lately going back through my thousands of untouched images from the past years. I can’t believe I just kept shooting and never took the time to work on the keepers! Oh well, that is water under the dam now and it is time to see what is out there.

This image is from a trip to the La Plata River Canyon in the summer of 2008. Jim Talaric and I were out for a week shooting wildflowers. I remember the flowers weren’t quite what we were hoping for up on Indian Ridge, so we decided to check out this stream on the drive out. We drove up a side road catching glimpses of the stream through the trees. It rushes down the mountainside rather quickly, so there were waterfalls and cascades everywhere. We parked and donned our waders for an afternoon of tromping upstream taking photos as we went. I posted a waterfall shot from this stream earlier. This is of one of the many cascades.
