What a peaceful way to start the day. This morning was entirely the opposite of the day before at Dragon’s Teeth (read more here). There weren’t any rain showers around. Just a few clouds along the horizon to catch some of the early morning light.

This was one of my favorite beaches on the island. I liked the way the palm trees hung out on the rocky outcropping at the north end of the beach. In the distance is the mountainous northwest corner of the island on the right and the island of Lanai on the left. I took quite a few shots from before sunrise until later when the light started to become harsh. I found that this was my favorite of the bunch. The receding waves help to draw your eye into the picture and off to the horizon.
