I decided to jump back to my fall trip around Colorado and process this aspen image. It never fails that I just have to pull out my 500mm lens when I am searching for a composition in an aspen grove. In fact this shot was taken with an extender to give me a focal length of 700mm. As I scanned this mountainside, the red trees in the lower left grabbed my attention. I played around a bit and decided on this view. The bare trees with their straight bright white trunks in the upper right really offset the foliage and make for a pleasing image. I hope you agree!
