I was fortunate to have my friend and fellow photographer Rene Pirolt take me to Kanarra Creek outside of Zion National Park a couple of years ago. Zion is one of Rene’s favorite location and I learned a lot of new locations on that trip. I went back to Kanarra Creek by myself this last fall, but the golden leaves had fallen in the valley. I scurried up to the falls up in the narrows, but was unable to get any shots like this down lower. There are many small cascades and waterfalls along the way, but with only barren trees and foliage it wasn’t worth stopping for. I am glad I had a productive trip the year with Rene and look forward to another one soon!
